What a real ALI-aligned inspection covers
- Cables, sheaves and hydraulic hoses for wear, fray or leak
- Latches, arm restraints and locking mechanisms under load
- Anchor torque, plumb and level against manufacturer spec
- Electrical, controls and safety decals
- Written report, signed sticker and recommendations
When to inspect more often than annually
Multi-shift dealership service drives, municipal fleets and high-cycle inspection lanes should schedule semi-annual PM alongside their annual inspection. That's when cable, latch and hydraulic wear starts showing up before it becomes a closed bay or an injury.
